She thereafter got a job contract with the KQED station in January 2007 where she started laboring as a producer for seven months and was afterward reassigned as a reporter in June 2008 for three months.

Additionally, she has obtained four awards throughout her reporting career the National Journalism Award from the Asian American Journalists Association for clear coverage of Capitol Hill in 2015, the Art Athens Award in 2011, Irvine Hellman, Jr. Special Award in 2001, the Alfred I. DuPont–Columbia University Award in 2012.
