Caroline Carithers is an American journalist and meteorologist currently working at WKRG News 5 as the Digital Reporter and Weekend Evening Meteorologist. She found her interest in weather when she traveled to the Gulf Coast. Carithers’ passion peaked when she located Daphne from Michigan in 2005 following Hurricane Katrina.

While there, Caroline saw all of the broadcast meteorologists in action and knew that was her dream. She toured the WKRG studio after the Hurricane and from that moment, she knew it was her dream to be a meteorologist at WKRG News 5. Before joining WKRG News 5, she worked at WeatherVision in Ocean Spring, Miss as a broadcast meteorologist. While there, Carithers forecasted and broadcasted for numerous stations around the United States.
