She began her radio career as a show producer at WNWS in Miami, Florida. Then, Christina worked at KVVA Radio in Phoenix, Arizona, where she presented famous radio talk shows and anchored news updates. In the mid-1980s, she started her television broadcasting career as a general assignment reporter at KTVW in Phoenix, Arizona.

In the late 1980s, she hosted the 18:00 and 22:00 newscasts at Univision’s Los Angeles affiliate, KMEX. Christina became the first journalist from a Spanish-language station to successfully “cross over” to English-language TV news when she joined Fox in 1990.

Christina was the driving force behind Fox 11’s On Our Toes campaign in May 1991. The Los Angeles County Probation Department has approved the innovative alternative dance curriculum for at-risk youth.
