She is a 24-year veteran journalist, who comes to WXII from WSVN Miami where she worked as a weekday morning anchor.
Cruz came to the 7-News team in Sep of 1996 serving as a Reporter. In Jan of 2000, after covering and filling in on the anchor desk, she became the co-anchor of WSVN’s #1-rated morning news, Today In Florida. Cruz can now be seen co-anchoring Today In Florida on weekdays from 5:30 am to 9 am and also on 7-News at Noon.
She began her career as a reporter and weather anchor in 1992 on Dynamic Cablevision. She then drove on in 1994 to WSCV Channel 51 as an entertainment reporter and weather anchor.
