Cobi Jones is a former American soccer player and commentator. As of now, he works as an analyst for MLB club LA Galaxy on Time Warner Cable SportsNet. He also appears on the Totally Football Show: American Edition at Fox Sports, BeIN Sports, and the Pac-12 Network as host.

Additionally, he played as a midfielder from 1994 -2007 commencing his career in England with Premier League club Coventry City, the United States national team,  Vasco da Gama, and LA Galaxy. Jones has also worked as interim head coach and assistant coach at LA Galaxy for two seasons.

Jones partook in the 1994 World Cup held in the United States. He thereafter joined the English team Coventry City of the Premier League for one season. Jones thereafter joined Vasco da Gama after their impressive performances in the 1995 Copa America. However, following a couple of months, he marked a contract with the new Los Angeles Galaxy for Major League Soccer’s inaugural season.

He played at the LA Galaxy from 1996 -2007. He scored 19 goals and 13 assists and was named to the MLS Best XI and also U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year in 1998. He retired from MLS on Oct 21, 2007, with 306 appearances and 70 goals.

Additionally, he joined the ES national team from 1992 -2004 with 164 caps and scored 15 goals. He partook in 1994, 2002, and 1998 FIFA World Cups and was named the best XI at the 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup following winning the 2002 CONCACAF Gold Cup. He also described his team in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona and played in the 1995 Copa America. Cobi was chosen for induction into the National Soccer Hall of Fame on Mar 11, 2011.

Jones worked as an assistant coach at LA Galaxy on November 9, 2007, and in 2008 he served as an interim head coach until the team employed Bruce Arena former U.S. national team to be a head coach.
