Currently, he serves as the chief play-by-play announcer on the NESNfor telecasts of the Boston Red Sox of MLB, college basketball, and college football games. He began his sports broadcast career in 1987. During that time, he worked in Atlanta, Georgia, as a sportscaster announcing play-by-play for MLB’s Atlanta Braves in betwixt 1990 and 1991. He also announced play-by-play college basketball and football games for Miami and Georgia.

He won the Best Sports Play-by-Play award from the Georgia Associated Press In 1998 and 1991. He announced for the Florida Marlins from the team’s 1993 inaugural year through 2001 including their fundamental World Series win in 1997. He has also intermittently announced the National Football League games for the Atlanta Falcons.

However, he recorded play-by-play commentary for the High Heat Major League Baseball video game series for its 2002, 2003, and 2004 segments along with Chuck Valenches, a color commentator.
