Additionally, she has been a part of ESPN’s coverage of the WNBA. Plus for several years, she was the primary radio and TV voice of New York Liberty. Doris was called to ESPN’s top men’s basketball team serving in 2003, with Dick Vitale on the men’s games, and began serving the sidelines at both ESPN and ABC for their coverage of the NBA.

She was the first lady to be an announcer for a New York Knicks game on the radio and on television in 2000. She is also the number one woman to be a broadcaster for a Big East men’s game, and the first lady to be the primary commentator on a men’s college basketball conference package. She served for the NBA Finals on ABC as a sideline reporter from 2009 -2019.

She became featured at 2K Sports’s NBA 2K11 video game as the new sideline reporter in 2010. Moreso, she has appeared in every edition since, comprising the latest in the series, NBA 2K21.
