From August 2018 to August 2020, Elwyn worked for WXIA-TV. Before that, she served at CNN News for six years and seven months that was from February 2012 to August 2018 as a journalist. At CNN News she reported on international and national stories such as fundamental, the tragic 2015 church shooting in Charleston, and Hurricane Patricia and Hurricane Matthew.
