Previously, Emily served as a sports director at KSN in Wichita, KS. There, she covered a Sweet Sixteen with the Shockers, two World Series with the Royals, and an Elite Eight with the Jayhawks. She also worked for Comcast Sports Southeast as a sideline reporter prior to moving to Kansas, where she covered the SEC for CSS.
