Erin’s passion for broadcast journalism began at a young age. She has long been interested in public speaking and used to enjoy watching her local news channel. That’s why she realized she wanted to work as a journalist.
Erin is from Sacramento, California, where she played in the state championships with her high school speech and debate program. Erin has devoted most of her spare time to competitive swimming since she was seven years old. She went on to swim in college for Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, as an NCAA athlete.
Erin spent a lot of her time consulting for her college’s news station when she wasn’t in the pool. She worked as a head anchor for two years before becoming the Executive Producer of the television program Newswave.
She worked as a news intern at KCRA 3 in Sacramento and KSAT 12 in San Antonio during her college years. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and a minor in Political Science in May of 2019.
Erin enjoys going to the gym, traveling, and spending time with friends and family while she is not in the newsroom. She also enjoys visiting new restaurants, watching Netflix, and shopping around for shoes.
