Evan is a firm believer in the power of journalism and a vocal supporter of the First Amendment. Moreover, Evan feels the media is a c crucial component of a free and open society and is guided daily by his principal.
Evan has reported about the sweeping criminal justice reforms that have taken hold around the Bay Area and country in wake of many controversial police killings. He is a native of Eugene, Oregon where is a graduate of the University of Oregon, and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism, and fell in love with the craft. Prior to moving to Portland where he began his writing career, he previously worked for our school’s newspaper.
He later began working for KGW-TV and set about learning every aspect of the TV news business. when he is not investigating, he enjoys playing sports, listening to records, taking pictures, and going on hikes.
