Fareed Zakaria is an American anchor and author. Presently, he serves as a news anchor for CNN and also hosts the Fareed Zakaria GPS. Fareed is also a contributing editor for The Atlantic, as well as a columnist for The Washington Post, a best-selling author. Since Fareed launched his program on CNN Global in 2008, the show has developed and garnered fame to a point of becoming one of the most authoritative domestic and international affairs programs on TV. He was raised in a Konkani Muslim family.
Fareed’s father was an Islamic theologian and a politician. Despite the fact that Fareed considers himself a Muslim, he is not a practicing Muslim. In the year 2015, Fareed affirmed that he entered a mosque only as a tourist.
