Gary Cohen is a famous American sportscaster. Cohen is best known for his radio and television position as a play-by-play announcer for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball.

Nowadays, he calls Mets broadcast for SportsNet New York as well as WPIX. Cohen also calls Seton Hall basketball games on WNYM. He is well-known among basketball fans for his baritone voice.

Gary has again called men’s college basketball games for many years. He began with his duties with St. John’s on WFAN and broadcasted from 1995 -2002.  Following WFAN’s loss of the radio rights to St. John’s games, Gary started broadcasting Seton Hall games and continues to do to this day.

Also, he worked as a backup announcer on New York Rangers radio broadcasts and called Olympic hockey in 1992, 1994, and also 1998 Winter Olympics. Further, he covered the NCAA tournament games for Westwood One on multiple occasions.
