Months after this, she noticed a physical change where her nipples started to invert themselves and were later diagnosed with lobular carcinoma breast cancer, which is not always easy to diagnose through a mammogram.
From there, Willis embarked on a nine-month treatment journey which started with a bilateral mastectomy of her right breast, four months of chemotherapy, radiation, and breast reconstruction. It was a long tedious process that wore on her both physically and emotionally.
In February 2020, Willis, formerly a finance editor for CNN before joining Fox Business in 2010, announced her original breast cancer diagnosis in May 2016. She wrote in a column on Fox News’s website that pre-cancer cells have now been discovered on her cervix.

Willis has been back on the air but has worn a wig since undergoing chemotherapy. She teased the reveal of her new hairstyle on Twitter and donated money to the Susan G. Komen foundation for every response she received guessing which program she would appear on.
