Ginny Ryan is an American anchor and reporter who currently works as a News Anchor at 13 WHAM-TV. Ryan has been serving the channel for more than three decades. She joined 13 WHAM-TV in October 1987.
Since then, she has been working as a News Anchor and Co-Anchor of the 5:00 and 11:00 newscasts. Before joining her current channel, Ginny served as a Reporter/News Anchor at WENY-TV. She worked the channel for a period of two years, from 1985 to 1987.
While in college, she anchored Campus Television Station and had an internship at the New York State Secretary of State’s Office, she interned at WROC-TV8, WIVB-TV, and WBBF-AM. She also served as the Secretary of Health and Human Services before she became served at a Speech Writer’s Office in Washington, D.C.
Ryan was always seeking any possible opportunity to “tell stories.” Ginny got her first professional job at WENY-TV located in Elmira, New York.
Ryan served there even before graduating from college. Still there, she was a reporter and anchor. After that, she secured another job opportunity and was employed by 13WHAM in 1987. Eventually, she got the job she always wanted to do when she was growing up. Ryan currently served exactly in her dream station, in her hometown.
