Earlier in his meteorologist career, Jamie served as Chief meteorologist at KIFI, Local News 8, the ABC affiliate, in Idaho, and also as a morning and noon chief meteorologist at KEYV/ TV 12, the CBS/Fox duopoly in North Mankato.
Jamie is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College with a Bachelor’s degree in geography. Later on, he achieved his master’s degree in meteorology from Saint Louis University with an emphasis on severe local storms and Doppler radar. Additionally, he holds the American Meteorological Society AMS Seal of Approval.
