He later began to work as a journalist for Garden Centre Magazine. Jason also served different stations such as WTMJ-AM and KFAQ-AM.

An incident happened on August 22, 2019, when his co-anchor Alex Housden compared him to a gorilla. This occurred in a video when an ape named Fin got to the camera and suddenly the co-anchor said in a comment that the ape looked like Jason. The video went viral and Alex got a lot of hate messages from Facebook. Alex later apologized to Jason and her viewers whom she had offended.
