Nova’s career in journalism began in 2012 in Southern Oregon where her husband worked as a firefighter. While at KTVL, a CBS affiliate, she reported former USA president Barack Obama’s visit to Roseburg after the Umpqua Community College shooting.
In 2016, she worked as a host of a Morning Edition at Jefferson Public Radio. Nova then transferred from the Cascades to the San Francisco Peaks based in Flagstaff, Arizona. While still there, she worked as the bureau reporter for the NBC affiliate, KPNX.
She, afterward on, transferred to the station in Phoenix. In 2017, she was serving from Las Vegas reporting the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival shooting. She was also in Florida reporting on Hurricane Irma in Sept 2017.
