Potash is an American who currently works as an anchor, anchoring WGN Morning News since 1995 for WGN-TV, he began working here in 1994. He majorly covers stories concerning religion, history, science, and more. In 1996, he traveled to Asia to cover a multi-part series on the culture of Hong Kong and the change to Chinese sovereignty, also he hosts a program that focuses on the unusual, fun, and at times less known details behind various pop culture phenomena and television news-making itself called “Larry’s World”.

Before, he served in Tulsa, Oklahoma at KOTV-TV  as a weekend anchor and political reporter. Prior to that, he worked in Evansville, Indiana at WFIE-TV as a morning anchor. His career journey started in Longview, Texas as an anchor and reporter at KLMG-TV.

Potash has been honored with several awards such as five of his eleven Emmy Awards for Best Anchor, also he’s been awarded for Best Anchor in Chicago from the Illinois Broadcasters Association with ten Silver Dome Awards.
