Lauren Jiggetts is an American Journalist currently working as the Morning News co-anchor for WGN-TV. She co-anchors the 4 am and 5 am newscasts of the station. Lauren joined the WGN network on July 10, 2017. Before, she worked for NBC 5 network located in Chicago. While there, Lauren held several positions but mostly worked as the weekend news anchor.

Prior to WGN-TV, she spent a decade working at NBC 5 as the weekend evening news anchor and reported on the weekdays. While there, Lauren held several positions but mostly worked as the weekend news anchor. In 2015 and 2016, Lauren co-hosted NBC’s coverage of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.  She also worked for WLVI, the CW affiliate based in Boston, and Channel One News based in L.A.

In 2011, Lauren won a national and regional Emmy for her great contributions to the station, where she reported on the Burr Oak Cemetery Scandal. She was also honored with several local Emmys. Lauren received the Irv Kupcinet Media Award which was granted to her at the 41st Annual Ed Kelly Foundation Gala in 2015.
