Leo Mazzone is a famous American former pitching coach in Major League Baseball and a pitcher in minor league baseball presently serving as a color commentator at Fox. He as well works for the Furman University Baseball program as the Special Pitching Advisor. He served for the Atlanta Braves organization from 1979 to 2005. Leo as well worked for the Baltimore Orioles as the pitching coach from 2006 to 2007.

In 1967 Leo made his professional debut with a class-A farm team of the San Francisco Giants called the Medford Giants.  He reached as high as the Double-A Amarillo Giants and also played in the Giants organization for 7 seasons. From 1970 to 1973, he played at Amarillo Giants for four seasons.

In 1975 he reached Triple-A with the Tucson Toros and as well played in the Oakland Athletics chain for the next three seasons. The class-A Corpus Christi Seagulls Leo was their player-manager in 1976 and the following season became their full-time manager.
