He previously worked for Lexington Herald-Leader as a Sportswriter and columnist before joining Atlanta Journal-Constitution (Ajc) in March 1984.

In 1985 he wrote the best columns and won the APSE award at the highest circulation level.

He was once named by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association as Georgia’s Sportswriter of the Year. He also holds the Best of Cox award for sports columns. In 2015 Bradley was inducted into the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Hall of Fame.
