After graduating in 1986, Mark moved to KWWL Television in 1987 where he served as a reporter and photographer obtaining skills for one year. Later, he got a job at KSRP TV as a weekend Sportscaster in December 1989 where he served for one year and 11 months. Furthermore, Mark served as an Anchor and Weekend Sportscaster for Los Angeles Television Station KCAL LLC from December 1991 to June 1993.
During his time at KCAL, Mark went to California, ESPN, and Los Angeles for special assignments and won Golden Mike Award for his work. In 1995, Mark moved to Entertainment Tonight as a substitute anchor and correspondent. Moreover, Mark also served as the primary substitute anchor and Entertainment Tonight Weekend. On July 27, 2012, he left the station after spending 17 years and one month.
