Patrick Hammer is a well-known television personality working at WGRZ-TV in Buffalo, New York, as the station’s Chief Meteorologist. Prior to joining the station, he was working on 5 Eyewitness News in Saint Paul. Patrick also worked at KTVU-TV as a weekend meteorologist in his hometown of San Francisco, California.
Patrick is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Planning. Hammer made his career debut in July 1996, working as a Chief Meteorologist at NBC 24- KNVN-TV, Chico, California.
After serving for 4 years, he moved to Albuquerque, Nex Mexico Area to work as a morning meteorologist at LIN Media/KRQE News. In April 2003, he joined KIRO-TV as a weekend meteorologist in the Greater Seattle Area. Hammer also worked as a meteorologist with the US Nordic Ski Team from July 2006 to September 2009 in Minneapolis. At the same time, he worked for KSTP-TV as its morning and midday meteorologist.
He joined KARE 11 In January 2015 as a meteorologist but left shortly after 3 months of service. Later he joined WGRZ TV Channel 2 as a meteorologist in June 2015 where Hammer currently serves as the station’s chief meteorologist.
