Before, he served at NBC’s Dateline NBC newsmagazine show for 11 years for the newsmagazine program as a Chicago-based correspondent. Rob was fired from Dateline NBC in a cost-cutting move in 2006. While at Dateline, he won two national news Emmy awards. Furthermore, Rob also received the Edward R. Murrow award for his Dateline investigation into racial profiling in the year 2000.
