Samuel Berman was the 16-year-old son of Dr. Laura Berman. Samuel tragically died in 2021 of a drug overdose. He connected with a drug dealer via snap chat and gave him fentanyl [sic] laced Xanax. He overdosed in his room.
LLaura took to Instagram to reveal the news of her son’s untimely death.

‘Dr. Laura Berman recently lost her 16-year-old son of an overdose of drugs that he received from a drug dealer he connected with on Snapchat.
He passed away on Sunday in his room after he took cocaine and Percocet laced with fentanyl. Sant Monica police confirmed that the deed indeed responds to a 911 call of a teenager not conscious and not breathing at about 4 p.m. Sunday.
Laura took to Instagram to share the untimely news
“I post this now only so that not one more kiddie,” she wrote. “We watched him so closely. Straight A student. Getting ready for college. Experimentation went bad. He got the drugs delivered to the house.”
Upon Samuels’s death, Snap Chat released a statement saying :
“Our deepest sympathies are with the family and friends of Samuel Berman Chapman and we are heartbroken by his passing,” Snapchat’s statement said. “We are committed to working together with law enforcement in this case and in all instances where Snapchat is used for illegal purposes.”
