Prior to joining FOX 29 News, Humpries worked as an anchor and reporter at KCCI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa. After graduating from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, she went on to Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and earned a master’s degree in journalism.

Shaina covered big election cycles in Iowa at the station. She covered Iowa’s drug overdose crisis specifically for KCCI in 2017, culminating in the yearlong State of Addiction campaign.
