Initially, he moved to WGN as a substitute host in 2000 and was later promoted to a regular host, where he restored Bob Collins after he died piloting his own airplane. While working there, he hosted The Steve Show which aired on the weekdays in the afternoons. Nevertheless, his contract was not renewed and he last aired on the station on 25th June 2010.
