She served at KTWO ABC 17 as a Morning Anchor, Lead Field Reporter, Producer, and Editor from June 2002 to June 2004. She also carried out exclusive interviews with Governor Dave Freudenthal and reported on several issues facing the state of Wyoming.

She has been working at KRCR ABC 7 based in Redding, California as an Evening News anchor, reporter, and producer since 2018. While there, Tamara produces the 5 pm newscast, anchors wall to wall coverage of wildfires and severe weather, writes and edits copy for newscasts, and anchors 5 pm, 5:30 pm, and 6:30 pm weeknight newscasts. Tamara mentors new reporters and reports on several issues facing the people of The North State and she took on interim News Director duties for numerous months.
