Tony Laubach is an American-born storm chaser and meteorologist. He is currently working for AccuWeather as a field Meteorologist and storm chaser. He initially worked at KAKE-TV in Wichita, Kansas as a weekend morning meteorologist as well as a storm chaser from March 19, 2018, to march 25.

Before joining KAKE he worked in Carterville, Illinois for almost 5 years as a meteorologist and the “Weather Warrior” for WSIL-TV. Initially, he worked at KMGH, 7News  based in Denver, Colorado as a primary storm chaser and weather producer. Laubach is among the surviving members of TWISTEX a severe weather disaster that took several lives. He has starred in Storm Chasers Seasons 3 through 5 a television show aired on the Discovery Channel.

From May 3 to July 8, 2015, he created and also produced a nine-part segment called “Weather Warrior Wednesday” which aired every Wednesday. He did a second season of the “Weather Warrior” segment in 2016 which featured eight packages and two narratives and aired from May 4 to July 13.

In August 2016 Tony began his debut as a broadcast meteorologist filling in to do weathercasts on weekend mornings. He then became a full-time weekend meteorologist on September 3, 2017, and the storm-chasing segment called “Storm Story Sunday” was born airing every Sunday. It featured highlights of his storm-chasing career. On March 4, 2018, the segment aired its last and it included Tony’s official announcement of leaving WSIL to pursue his career in Kansas.

Owing to his well-publicized storm-chasing career, he was named as the 10th most famous person from Pickaway County, Ohio, in July 2017.
